China Mobile adds 4.38 mln phone users in Dec.(Brief article)(Statistical data)

Jan. 20, 2011 (China Knowledge) - China Mobile Ltd<0941><CHL>, the country's largest telecom operator, today announced that its phone users increased 4.38 million in December 2010, sources reported. The net increase of mobile phone users last December was less than the 4.62 million the mobile operator recorded last November. In December 2010, the company's 3G users increased 1.87 million to 20.7 million. Last year, the company saw the number of its mobile phone users swell 61.73 million to 584.02 million. Li Yue, president of the Chinese communication giant, said the firm has more than 30 million phones users subscribing electronic reading services via their handsets. China Mobile has also started the trials of wireless Internet business in 26 cities in China, Li added.
